    Because I believe in practicing what you preach and leading by example. There is a reason that goes beyond competing that I do CrossFit. I do it for physical and mental longevity and I think thatโ€™s important to everyone regardless.

    Iโ€™m a technical guy, so anything high skill: from Olympic weightlifting (snatch/clean and jerk) to gymnastics (HS walk/muscle ups).

    I got into CrossFit whilst at college after doing a bunch of types of training. It is the most all rounded way of training, a way to get strong and fit at the same time. Something that can help prepare you for anything, which to me is what fitness is all about.

    The 24hr WODathon really stands out to me, but also taking on the biggest challenge of my life so far; starting a coffee business which was born out of CFID.

    A lot of people I have talked to about CrossFit in the past often say โ€˜I need to get fit before I try thatโ€™, itโ€™s a huge misconception. Donโ€™t look at the CrossFit Games athletes and imagine thatโ€™s what weโ€™re all like, we are just like you, so stop making excuses and get yourself to a CrossFit affiliate.

    I love to compete, or at least used to! Training is not what it used to be since starting All About the Grind. But I aim to get back on the competition floor again, hopefully in the not too distant future.

CrossFit is located on the Aston Road estate in Waterlooville.

Go over the roundabout at Sainsburys (this store will be on your right), and stay on Aston Road.ย  Aston Road veers around to the right and we are in the top left hand corner, located behind some big black gates.ย  If in doubt head for Sentry Storage and we are two doors down from them.
