CrossFit Teens & CrossFit Kids Iron Duke combine fitness and fun. Our classes are geared and designed for a special population and the specific developmental needs of those individuals.
Today’s youth are caught between increasingly sedentary lifestyles and single-sport specialisation. This has in turn, reduced physical activity, decreased free play, and more importantly is increasing childhood obesity.
CrossFit Teens & Kids Iron Duke combines gymnastics, body weight movements and weightlifting elements to develop the 10 Physical Skills: Cardiovascular Endurance; Strength; Stamina; Flexibility; Power; Speed; Coordination; Accuracy; Agility and Balance.
In addition to gaining confidence; becoming fitter and more active; being stronger and mastering new skills, our teens and kids also learn the values of respect, support, friendship and encouragement. We teach and strive to ‘Be Kind’.
Our teens and kids can tackle life’s challenges so, when they step out of our gym, they know they can do whatever they set out to do.
Class Times & Prices
▪️Kids classes (5-11) Fridays at 17:00.
▪️Advanced & Intermediate Teens (11-16) Fridays at 16:00.
In some cases younger children who demonstrate a higher level of competence may attened the teens session.
Prices are £7 per teen and £5 per child. Payment must be made in advance of class. Classes are open to both members and non-members. Teens Classes will last for 50 minutes and Kids Classes for 45 minutes.

▪️Kids: Mondays & Wednesdays at 11:15.
▪️Advanced & Intermediate Teens: Fridays at 16:00 (not Friday 12 August).
CrossFit Teens Iron Duke (16+)
Teens between 16-18, are permitted to train in adult classes (once they have completed the intro sessions [for CrossFit classes only] – or progressed through the teens program – and have shown a required level of competence), but must have a parent or guardian in attendance when training, if the kids trainer is not on site.
Discounts apply for teens on monthly memberships and punchcards.
Please note that it is not the age of your child that is the deciding factor for what class they attend. It is largely based upon individual skill, athleticism, and maturity and is ultimately decided upon by the Kids Trainer to ensure your child is getting the most out of the CrossFit experience.
Teens and Kids will at times be using weights – barbells, kettlebells, dumbells and medicine balls- as well as the gymnastic rig, and concept 2 rowers, ski-ergs and assault bikes. This will be at discretion of the Kids Trainer.
Our Kids Trainer Kerry is also our Adaptive Trainer.
All of our coaches have been background checked, and this is reviewed in accordance with current guidelines and regulations. A safeguarding policy is in place and available.
The free taster session/free week regrettably does not cover Kids or Teens sessions.
