WHY IS A CROSSFIT BOX DIFFERENT FROM A ‘NORMAL’ GYM?

  • CrossFit is about variance and adaptation. We “program” our workouts for General Physical Preparedness, or GPP. We don’t have leg days, back- and bi- days, or cardio days. We believe the body is a whole system, and strengthen it as a whole.
  • It is fully inclusive as it covers all age ranges from children to the elderly.
  • Classes are limited in size, so all members receive more individual and dedicated coaching.
  • There are always dedicated trainers for each class, and these are available during open gym sessions.
  • Our coaches will also give you assistance and guidance in diet and nutrition. We believe that nutrition is the foundation of health and fitness and know that how we feed our bodies determines how quickly we achieve the results we want.
  • The community is like no other, everyone knows everyone’s name.
  • Everyone does the same program, it is just scaled to your individual ability.
  • The best part is that you’re joined by like-minded people who want to be and feel better.

FUNCTIONAL MOVEMENTS

CrossFit uses safe, effective and efficient movements similar to those used for everyday life.

HIGH INTENSITY

In CrossFit workouts, intensity levels are adjusted to challenge the individual and safely improve fitness.

FITNESS IN 100 WORDS

Eat meat and vegetables, nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch and no sugar. Keep intake to levels that will support exercise but not body fat.

Practice and train major lifts: Deadlift, clean, squat, presses, C&J, and snatch. Similarly, master the basics of gymnastics: pull-ups, dips, rope climb, push-ups, sit-ups, presses to handstand, pirouettes, flips, splits, and holds. Bike, run, swim, row, etc, hard and fast.

Five or six days per week mix these elements in as many combinations and patterns as creativity will allow.

Routine is the enemy.

Keep workouts short and intense!

Regularly learn and play new sports.

How to find us

CrossFit is located on the Aston Road estate in Waterlooville.

Go over the roundabout at Sainsburys (this store will be on your right), and stay on Aston Road.  Aston Road veers around to the right and we are in the top left hand corner, located behind some big black gates.  If in doubt head for Sentry Storage and we are two doors down from them.
