Our Classes

CrossFit

Our CrossFit classes last one hour and run six days a week.  Each session allows for a warm up, skill element session, instruction, explanation and demonstration of the workout WOD (workout of the day), the performance of the WOD and a cool down.

CrossFit is about variance and adaptation. We “program” our workouts for General Physical Preparedness, or GPP. We don’t have leg days, back- and bi- days, or cardio days. We believe the body is a whole system, and strengthen it as a whole!  So whatever day of the week you train, it will not be the same.

CrossFit Lite

Our CrossFit Lite classes are perfect for those wanting to try CrossFit,  without the higher gymnastic or weightlifting skill level that is often seen in our mainstream CrossFit classes.

Classes run run on a Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday and last one hour working your whole body, and the added bonus is you can move as hard and fast or slow and steady as you want – the choice is yours!

You do not require any CrossFit experience to join these classes.

Fit For Life

Age is no barrier with our Fit For Life (Low Impact Functional Exercise) classes, which are designed to be accessible for everyone.  CrossFit differs by degree and not kind, so all movements are scaled to the individuals ability and is not generic.

These classes take place every Wednesday and will help improve strength, coordination, balance and mobility, and will help limit the effects of the natural ageing process, so you can continue to enjoy everyday activities that help our physical and mental health.  And if that wasn’t enough, you will not only get to meet new people but you can stay and chat over a coffee after your class in our coffee shop. These classes are open to both members and non-members.

Iron Duke Barbell Club

We run two dedicated Iron Duke Barbell Clubs every Thursday.  No matter your level, ability or experience, these classes are ideal for those wanting to improve their olympic lifting technique.

Each class focuses on either snatch or clean & jerk, plus accessory movements. These classes are open to both members and non-members.

MAN’S CLUB

Our ‘Man’s Club’ will take place on the first Friday of every month – starting Friday 6 December, where men (both members and non members), can come in and take part in a workout, be part of a community and hopefully talk to others about their feelings, so they don’t suffer in silence.

Being a man of more words isn’t about dialing up the banter. It’s about carving out space for meaningful chats about the bigger stuff in life. From talking about the kids, the bills, a new job or a setback – the right conversation can make all the difference to a mate who might be struggling.

How to Book

Members are required to sign in for all classes/open gym sessions via their login for WODBoard.

If you are dropping in from another CrossFit affiliate, sign in below for your class/open gym session.

Class sizes are limited so that each member will receive the personal attention needed to ensure exercises are performed safely and efficiently. All classes must be booked in advance. No turn-ups please. Since class size is limited, reservations are required for each class.

CrossFit Iron Duke Free Taster Session

Once you have completed your taster session, you can sign up for our CrossFit classes, or continue with our CrossFit Lite classes.

If you would prefer to book a 1-2-1 intro session, then these can be booked with one of our trainers for just £90.00. These sessions (three x one hour sessions), cover further details about why we CrossFit, the benefits and also a greater introduction into the movements, nutrition and recovery. How to find us

CrossFit is located on the Aston Road estate in Waterlooville.

Go over the roundabout at Sainsburys (this store will be on your right), and stay on Aston Road.  Aston Road veers around to the right and we are in the top left hand corner, located behind some big black gates.  If in doubt head for Sentry Storage and we are two doors down from them.
